Self-adhesive plastic cards can be used to reuse already used ID cards or as an additional protective layer for heavily used cards.
There are cases where cards need to be personalized using thermal printing, even though the subsequent environmental conditions are unsuitable for this, such as construction site subcontractors who receive an ID card directly on site or similar.
For smaller quantities, purchasing an expensive lamination station for the card printer is usually not worthwhile. The self-adhesive plastic card can be a simple and inexpensive alternative solution here.
Simply peel off the protective film, stick it on the card - done!
Self-adhesive plastic cards can be personalized, for example, with a thermal printer. It is important to note that the thermal unit of the printer is not set too high and that the printer's feeder is suitable for carrier cards. When using self-adhesive plastic cards on standard-strength plastic or chip cards, it must be ensured that by sticking on the plastic card, the base card acquires an increased card thickness and may no longer be able to be pulled through, for example, a swipe reader. Please check this in advance!
