The Legic ID card / Legic card is the most widespread in the German-speaking area for access control / time recording.
The advantages of Legic technology include:
1. Legic systems and cards are always secured and initialized with associated authentication media (IAM card, GAM card or similar). Without these separate authentication media, it is completely impossible to unauthorizedly create a functional ID card. As long as the authentication media are securely stored in a safe, no one can compromise the security of your premises.
2. With Legic ID cards, the entire available memory can be reserved for one application or divided into individual, independent segments. The individual segments are in turn protected by authentication media, so that various system integrators can safely use the medium simultaneously without affecting each other.
3. Legic is an open standard. The decision for a Legic medium does not entail a commitment to a system integrator. Almost every renowned system integrator in Germany can use Legic technology.
General: The Legic ID card / Legic card is a contactless smart card (RFID technology) that does not require a battery and has its chip inside. The antenna and chip are not accessible from the outside and are therefore well protected inside. The chip is not contacted by the reader unit. During the process, the card chip is supplied with energy via radio waves, i.e., data exchange also takes place via radio waves. The signals are transmitted at a constantly uniform frequency of 13.56 MHz. An insertion into the reader during the writing/reading processes is therefore not necessary, i.e., if the card is in your wallet, for example, you only need to hold it near the reader and the reading process will start.
The sensitivity of a card depends on the card material and the technology used.
Therefore, we only offer high-quality cards.
To meet special requirements such as heat or mechanical stress, we can also offer cards made of PET / PC or hybrid materials. The Legic ID card has a significantly lower failure rate compared to other cards due to considerable advances in development.
Area of application: Even in harsh environmental conditions (e.g., moisture, dirt or mechanical influences), the ID card provides reliable service, and transactions are fast and convenient. Up to 127 applications such as BDE, parking lot access, company access, cashless payment in the canteen or at the gas station, up to biometric high-security applications and other future market needs are possible with the Legic ID card.
To prevent vandalism, the read/write unit can be installed (invisibly) directly in the masonry.
Coding specifications: An essential part of the coding is the so-called initialization. This refers to the data stored in the read/write unit (initialization data), which is compared with a specific data area (protection data) of the medium. Only if the data matches can the medium be read or written. If no protection data is defined on a medium, it can in principle be read and written by any read/write unit.
The initialization data record is read into a read/write unit with a special IAM card. Up to 16 initialization data records can be stored in a read/write unit. A single initialization data record can also be removed from the read/write unit with an initialization deletion card.
The cards are available segmented and unsegmented, but these can also be combined.
Design / Printing: We design and produce your ID card design according to your specifications. The ID card can be printed on the front and back in offset or screen printing, in one or more colors.
Finishing: Personalization (data and photo) is possible digitally on-site or as a service (also online).
Combinations with other coding types (e.g., magnetic stripe, barcode, inductive) are possible.
